Replication of original historic stencils
Where surviving fragments or archive references exist, we trace, match and reapply stencil patterns to ceilings, friezes and wall panels. Scale, repeat and colour are sampled before full application.
Ceiling, cornice and frieze stenciling
Decorative stencil schemes are hand-cut and applied to architectural mouldings and flat panels. Work is planned around access, drying times and coordination with other decorative trades on site.
Residential and listed-building interiors
Stenciling appears in private Victorian and Edwardian homes as well as civic heritage rooms. We combine stencil work with gilding and faux finishes when the original scheme used all three.
Colour matching and discreet repair
New stencil work is matched to existing paint layers and surrounding decoration. Repairs are kept reversible where conservation standards apply.
