Silvano Cioci-Faux and North West Murals Ltd have carried out restoration and decorative programmes linked to St Georges Hall and other Liverpool civic buildings under Liverpool City Council.

Work must match historic colour, veining and tooling so new repairs disappear at reading distance in grand public rooms.

Work carried out

  • Bevelled faux granite and related decorative paint effects at St Georges Hall, matching existing stonework character.
  • Surface preparation and hand-applied scumble glazes suited to high-status civic interiors.
  • Coordination with heritage officers on materials and visibility of intervention.

Outcome

  • Coherent decorative surfaces that respect the hall’s nineteenth century design.
  • Experience that informs how we quote other listed civic and institutional projects across the North West.
